Minasan, kon'nichiwa!!

Its the year 2015, five more years to 2020 and only a "short" fifteen years since Y2K (2000). Its been a challenging year in 2014, career and also personal life wise. I've learnt a lot in the past year and also had many new experiences; many pleasant, some not so. But for 2015 and perhaps for the first time in my life, I decided to be one of the many who set new year resolutions for myself. Its a simple list of three and without further ado its:

- Be a better husband and love my wife unconditionally
- Learn Japanese
- Write about my world travel (more in this later)

Quick facts about me

#1 Married to a beautiful wife (no kids but got an adorable and sometimes a handful cat named Tracie. Sadly Tracie was taken away from us on March 2017.)
#2  Finance person by profession
#3 Enjoys travelling and seeing the world
#4 Plays Magic The Gathering (since 1997)
#5 Enjoys doing #3 and #4 together - Play the Game, See the World

What this blog is about?

This blog mainly revolves around Magic the Gathering. The game is a highly technical game with millions of players globally. There are several groups ranging from the casual kitchen table brawling to the globetrotting professionals. I don't consider myself to be an elite professional but I do have some game and plenty of experience. This blog will mainly share my playing experience in high level competition and also my world travel sights and scenes.

I done a few write-ups of my travels, mainly to share my experience with friends and fellow MTG gamers. I felt my writing did inspire many new Malaysian MTG players to branch out further beyond our borders to challenge their skills abroad. Most players treat this cross-border competitions as a "business trip" with an ambition to win it all. While being competitive is important, but at the same time, travelling abroad to compete allows one to soak in the culture, food, sights, people outside our own. My writing hopefully will inspire others to open their eyes to world and not just focus on the cards itself and to really enjoy this wonderful game to the fullest!

Its my first time blogging, so I'll be constantly editing layouts, words, fonts, photos as I go along :)
